Uva province, and the Ampara and Batticaloa districts, are likely to see showers or thundershowers during the evening or night. A few isolated showers may occur in other parts of the island.

Fairly heavy falls, exceeding 75 mm, are likely in some places within the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-western provinces, as well as in the Galle, Matara, Nuwara-Eliya, and Kandy districts. Residents in these areas should be prepared for significant rainfall.

Further fairly strong winds, with speeds of approximately 30-40 kmph, can be expected at times over the western slopes of the central hills. Similar strong winds are also anticipated in the Northern, North-central, North-western, and Southern provinces, and in the Trincomalee district.
